After the birth of her first son in a large New York City hospital, she was drawn to childbirth education as a way to help pregnant people have a satisfying and positive birth experience in any setting. Her classes are evidence-based and non-judgmental, incorporating many coping techniques to help each family find their best approach. She also runs Rivertown Mamas, a drop-in new parent group.
